MY INTERNATIONAL KITCHEN

I have come to the conclusion that I am not going to be able to cook any more without several international products. The number one food we are going to miss when we leave Italy is gelato. Unfortunately there is just no ice cream in the states that comes close to Gelato.
But as you can tell from above there are just some things from the U.S. that had to be brought along with us to survive our stay. I always wonder what the security people at the airport think when our bag filled totally with food comes through.

Then we went to Denmark and found these crackers. We have not found a cracker yet to compare and thus must bring back dozens each time we go to Denmark. I am pretty sure they have me on a surveillance camera at the Fotex (a Danish grocery store) taking all the crackers on the shelf every time I go in there. This was just one days haul!

VASO DI CERAMICA

We found this vaso di ceramica yesterday at an outdoor market. Unfortuantely our attempts to barter on the price with the artist failed. He was not going to budge on this particular item. He probably would have taken less on any other item on the back of his truck!
You think it might have been that he could tell how much we really liked this piece? We have filled it with water, but are having no luck with it turning to wine!
